Who is Ashish Adlakha, MD?

Ashish is a board-certified Neurologist with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice and leadership roles. Ashish is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and providing education for the community. He has consulted on the development of clinical trials and treatments for a large variety of neurological disorders. 

Ashish’s Role at CMR:

Ashish is a Physician Investigator at both the Waterbury and Hamden site. Ashish works directly with patients in clinical trials, he provides high quality of care to research participants throughout their clinical trial journey. As a Physician Investigator, Ashish makes important trial-related decisions and ensures individuals that are delegated to work on the trial are fully trained and able to preform trial-related services. He currently works on over 30 trials with Chase Medical Research.

Qualifications:

Ashish received his Doctor of Medicine in 1999 from Maulana Azad Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2004 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. Ashish also completed a Neurology residency in 2007 at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. In 2008, Ashish completed his fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.  

He maintains board certifications by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology, Sleep Medicine, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Headache Medicine. In addition, he has a Connecticut state license and Controlled Substance registration, and a DEA registration. He also holds certifications in BLS, CPR, and Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS).

He has completed the CITI Training (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) and is certified in the conduct of clinical investigations and the protection of human subjects. Ashish is also certified in Clinical Research IO (CRIO).
